Wednesday's lesson

Re-read  pages 33 and 34 – the end of Chapter 5. Holden's parents are silenced in the book. What do you think they are like? They have lost a son and have sent Holden to boarding school. Why did they do this? How do they feel about Holden? Write a piece in the voice of either Holden’s mother or father, commenting on Holden’s reaction to Allie’s death and their concerns about him.
